Traditional England seaside paradise

Traditionally the remote end of England, home to “Land’s End”, Cornwall has “been discovered” as a tourist destination over the last 30 years.

For centuries Cornwall was known for its mining towns, fishing ports and bountiful farms. Today this has translated to historic buildings, stunning small ports and some of the best produce in England. It is well known as a favourite second home location.

A peninsular, with a north and south coast, Cornwall’s beaches are known as the equal to any. The south coast faces onto the English Channel, whilst the North opens into the Irish Sea. Of the many beaches worth visiting; St. Ives, Bude, Perranporth, Newquay, Fistral, and Constantine Bay are noteworthy.

The Eden Project, famous for its environmental biomes and stewardship of the environment is located in Cornwall. It has a simulated rainforest and Mediterranean environment propagated indoors.

The quality of the produce and the restaurants that cook it make Cornwall a famous “foodie destination.” Rick Stein, the celebrity chef, has series of restaurants in Padstow, Cornwall. Often referred to as “Padstein” in his honour, but with some contention. Seafood is especially highly regarded, with lobsters, crabs, oysters and mussels being highly desirable.
