Wild countryside and sea side towns
Devon is the sister county to Cornwall and enjoys somewhat of a sibling rivalry. Be it who has the more beautiful beaches and countryside, invented the Cornish pasty, or most appropriate way to decorate a scone.
Home to Exmoor and Dartmoor, it contains two of England’s most impressive National Parks. Encompassing thousands of acres of beautifully preserved countryside to enjoy.
With a north and south coast there is a substantial amount of seaside to enjoy. The south coast faces onto the English Channel and the North Coast into the North Atlantic. Famous beaches include: Woolacombe, Croyde, Torquay, Salcombe and Exmouth.
The food and produce of Devon are renowned for their quality and natural production methods. The seafood is especially highly regarded, especially the shellfish.
