Durham is renowned for its beautiful architecture centred around the old town, castle, cathedral and university. It is a city to be walked around, explored and enjoyed.

A traditional place of learning, going back to the modern foundation of the city as a monastery in 995AD. Durham University is based in the Castle and would consider itself to be the “Oxbridge of the North of England.”
